On February 3, 2021, in his 79th year surrounded by his daughters peacefully passed away at St, Joseph’s hospital. James was a loving husband to his wife Theresa for 53 years. He leaves behind 2 daughters Cindy Rowe, Tracey (Phillip) Gater, a loving granddaughter Madison Rowe and his great-granddaughter Aubrey Rowe. We can’t forget Jim’s best buddies Marley and Lucy his fur babies. James is a dear brother to Irvin (Arlene) Yateman, Joan Swan, Reg (Buck) Yateman, Dora Trimbee, Clifford (Anita) Yateman, Charles (Donna) Yateman and the late Freda Creighton. He is also loved by many nieces and nephews. James was a member of Local 128 Boilermakers for more than 40 years and retired. Jim helped with the construction of the Skyway Bridge as well as the nuclear power plant in Pickering. After leaving the Union he decided sitting at home wasn’t for him, so he became a Long Haul trucker for Packers Logistics in Stoney Creek, and worked there until his passing on Tuesday. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the CCU at St. Joseph’s hospital for all the help, respect and dignity that they gave our father for the past few weeks.
