Indigenous Artists Opportunity
Indigenous Artists Opportunity: Stage 2 Light Rail Transit Ottawa Public Art Program
Qwey Qwey
You are invited to an Indigenous artist workshop to learn:
1. About City of Ottawa’s public art opportunities open to Indigenous artists
2. How to write an artist statement, artist biography, public art curriculum vitae (résumé)
and photograph your work
You may be surprised that these public art opportunities are right for you. This workshop will get you ready, even if you are a newbie to public art.
The City of Ottawa will be announcing its plans for the Stage 2 Ottawa Light Rail Transit Public Art Program. The City has confirmed $11 million as part of the public art program.
The City of Ottawa Public Art Program encourages Indigenous artists to participate. Public art reflects a diversity of artistic expressions: sculpture, traditional arts, visual, carving,
photography, beadwork, video, etc.
The Stage 2 LRT program envisions an artist collaborative to work together around a theme or expression. The venues include outdoor and indoor art.
